Who Lives, Who Dies, and Why?

From Your Own Backyard to International SAR, Why Training Makes a Difference

Kimberly R. Kelly, an honorably retired California law enforcement reserve, current Colorado human remains detection dog handler, and international SAR team member, has spent more than 15 years specializing in SAR education, training foundations, and improving safety for both the missing subject and the teams who search for the lost.

Using real life examples from missions in California to recent missions around the world, from the single lost hiking party to the mass disaster of 9/11, Kimberly will explore how human behavior, experience, knowledge, and training often determines the outcome of a mission and all parties involved.
